In today's issue, you'll find all the usual information:

Today's quiz question:Which mineral in your horse's diet has the same symptoms for both a toxicity and deficiency? If you are super curious (like me!), you can find the answer somewhere on UHN... Or if you are patient, the answer will be published in next month's newsletter.

There are a number of new pages on UHN this month:My favorite, by far, is the Black Oil Sunflower Seeds (BOSS) page. It was a lot of fun to write, and gives a lot of information about feeding BOSS to horses, since there really isn't a lot of information out there on horses and sunflower seeds. ------------------------- Another great page to check out is the horse nutrition stories page. It has a collection of stories (small right now, but it'll grow!) from visitors to the site telling about how their increased knowledge of horse nutrition helped them help their horse. I really recommend reading it, as its truly inspiring. ------------------------- Also new are a number of mineral pages: Each of these pages covers the mineral in detail, including how your horse obtains it in his diet, toxicity symptoms, deficiency symptoms, and other tidbits of information about the mineral.

This being the first issue of UHN: The Latest Happenings!, there are no results from a previous poll to report.------------------------ After reading the News of Interest article, I began to wonder how many readers are suffering from a hay shortage...which leads me to this month's poll question: POLL IS NO LONGER ACTIVE, BECAUSE RESULTS HAVE BEEN TALLIED. Please see November's issue for the results.
Results will be published in next month's issue of UHN: The Latest Happenings!
